Abstract:
Introduction to special issue concerning vehicle routing has emerged as one of the major success stories in the field of MS/OR. From the academic point of view, books, special issues of journals, sessions, tutorials, workshops, and short courses have focused on new techniques for solving these problems more effectively. Near-optimal solutions can now be obtained for many types of vehicle-routing problems.
