Abstract: Brooding over some recent writings on old age convinces me that many of us try to atone for the crime of ageing by giving advice to the young. In fact, when writing this paper I considered using the title, “Young Man, Go Management Information Systems”. But my advice (which I freely give) is also to anyone who is willing to listen, as well as to the young at heart. Let me confess, then, that the title you see to this paper is purely rhetorical. May advice is unhesitating: “Make information and communication your business.”
