RELAIS: La stazionarietà locale nella stima della povertà relativa per piccole aree

Abstract: This paper proposes a local stationarity approach in EBLUP estimation with the aim to improve the reliability of relative poverty estimates in small areas. The results of the experimentations, performed in the framework of the European Statistics on Income and Living Conditions survey (EU-SILC), show the goodness of this methodological proposal. In addition, this paper reports the results of previous experiences of stationarity approach to poverty estimation for small areas in the Household Budget survey, in order to highlight the validity of the proposed local stationarity solution.
