Abstract:
Evaluates the market structure, conduct and performance of railroad industry in the U.S. under regulated and deregulated periods from 1971 to 1984. Demand and supply of rail services; Decline in the number of railroad firms and railroad miles; State of revenue per ton-mile and investment per track mile.
