Strategic Analysis of Technology

Abstract: Technology has become a core element of business strategy, and an essential factor of the competitive position of the company, due to the fact that it is one of the pillars of its profitability and growth. The organization around business strategic units as an efficient way of managerial working is being overcome. Now new alternatives are necessary to penetrate in markets, some of them not well known. Prahalad and Hamel (1991) say, after their comparative study of some companies in information technology sector; "the competitiveness of a company flows fits core competences and core products"'.
