Abstract:
In 2017, U.S. broiler growers filed an antitrust lawsuit against the largest broiler processors alleging that these companies engaged in an unlawful conspiracy to artificially suppress grower compensation in violation of the Sherman Act and Packers and Stockyards Act. This manuscript analyzes competition issues revealed in the recent Broiler Chicken Grower Antitrust Litigation.
