Digital Maturity of University Libraries in Nigeria

Akinniyi A. Adeleke, Joshua Onaade Ojo and Yemisi Ojokuku

A chapter in Digital Transformation - Towards New Frontiers and Business Opportunities from IntechOpen

Abstract: This chapter reports the findings of a survey of the level of digital maturity of university libraries in Nigeria. Forty-eight university libraries responded to an online survey based on the framework for digital mature schools (FDMS). The findings reveal that the libraries are e-enabled but yet to attain digital maturity. The paper also shows that the dimensions of ICT planning, management and leadership, and ICT infrastructural development statistically predict the digital maturity status of university libraries.
