Abstract: The first part of the study gives an overview of the main aims and measures of Hungarian trade policy towards Asia. The second part describes the developments and trends of Hungarian exports and imports concerning the Asian countries. In the third part the product structure of trade is analysed in detail. The authors analyse the concentration of trade and the similar trends, showing the changing structure of trade in time. They also examine the share of high-tech products in trade with the main important partners of each Asian region. Finally they draw conclusions from the analyses and make some recommendations for policymakers.
