Problems in University Teaching Faculty Construction and Countermeasures

Abstract: The construction of university teaching faculty directly affects and restricts the long-term development of universities. Since the reform and opening up, China’s university teaching faculty construction has realized marvelous achievements. However, in comparison with the higher education in developed countries, in China the construction of university teaching faculty still faces quite a lot problems needed to be solved. In this paper, the author systematically analyzes the current situations of China’s university teaching faculty construction, as well as the problems, and puts forward suggestions for how to optimize university teaching faculty construction and how to improve the overall level of university teaching faculty.
