Study on the Influencing Factors on Comfort of Children's Shoes

Abstract: The comfort of shoes is especially important for children whose feet are in the period of growth and development. However, many children's shoes on the market are too adult, or even an adult shoes shrink version. Whereas their morphologies are quite different, such shoes not only can not offer appropriate wear comfort for children but also hinder the healthy development of their foot. In addition, the distinction of children foot in different age groups is also very obvious. This paper mainly analyzes the foot characteristics of children in different age stages, such as foot morphologies, skeletal development and gait, summarizes the factors that affect the comfort of children's shoes, and provides some suggestions for the purchase of children's footwear.
