Measuring Poverty with Uncertainty Poverty Threshold

Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to develop a methodology to measure poverty which takes account of uncertainty involved in the specification of poverty line. This methodology is applied to analyze poverty in India covering periods 1977-1978, 1983, 1986-1987, and 1988-1989.
