A Note on the Importance of Real Estate Course Titles

Abstract: It is indisputable that in any competitive market, the key words used to describe a product, service, or even an idea can influence people's initial impressions of it. Thus, it may be so for the titles given real estate courses or textbooks. Although most curriculum coordinators and authors probably would prefer that their courses and books not be judged by their names or covers, they may choose their titles carefully. This study examines five course names used at various universities given the introductory real estate course and finds significant preferences via a multiple comparisons test.
