Abstract: A report on a survey of major equity REIT and corporate investors in California real estate after the October 17, 1989 earthquake. Only 43% of the respondents reported that they planned to formally reconsider California investment policies and only about 13%-17% suggested that it was likely that their current investment policy would change as a result of the quake.
