Abstract: This special issue of The Journal of Real Estate Research represents an important contribution to a growing body of literature on the effects of environmental contaminants and environmentally sensitive technologies on real estate values. Funding for the special issue was provided by the Appraisal Institute Education Trust in response to a proposal submitted by the Appraisal Institute's Research Department.
