Abstract:
Abstract This study examines how task-technology fit moderates the relationship between work motivation and job satisfaction in the Nigerian public sector. Surveying 246 employees from three ministries in Kwara State, Nigeria. The research used PLS-SEM analysis. Results show job characteristics influence work motivation, impacting job satisfaction. Task-technology fit strengthens this relationship when high. The study’s relevance stems from increasing technology integration in Nigerian public services. It contributes to literature by introducing task-technology fit as a moderator in this context, offering insights for leaders to design technology-enabled work environments that enhance motivation, satisfaction, and performance.
