New Approaches in Investment Policies after the Recent Economic Crisis

Abstract:
In the new context of the recent world economic crisis and subsequent economic downturn, governments re-evaluated their attitude for foreign direct investment or at least certain types of it and adopted restrictive measures for foreign investments. The paper emphasises the significant trends in national policy measures for foreign investments, among which we could distinguish introduction of restrictive measures, national policies promoting the “green growth”, investment protectionism, investment policy framework for sustainable development.
