Abstract: Islamic banking found its origin since 1400 years but it had not being grown with that much pace for hundreds of years later. Now it is being growing with rapid pace. For this purpose we have undertaken research process, 275 semi-structured questionnaires has been circulated in six private universities of Karachi, Pakistan. The results showed that there is a lack of awareness among students of bachelors and masters about Islamic banking system. Found a lot of misconception about the Halal banking system. Yet the Islamic banking industry has to pay more attention towards the development of awareness programmes, seminars and marketing plans.
