Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina has forced the national government to decree the social isolation. Without social activity, the crisis in the tourism industry soon arrived. This paper presents the main conclusions of a survey carried out in the month of May on the Argentinians’ perception regarding the risk of travelling during the coronavirus crisis. In this situation, proximity tourism could be an opportunity for local development.
