Abstract:
The study of political science includes two fields according to Hix (2012), institutional and behavioral politics. This paper focuses on the behavioral school and describes, based in a bibliography review, the political behavior of big apes and human tribes. A specific type of behavior of some tribes is described, the egalitarianism and its transformation to the hierarchical model. Those concepts are taken to the organizational world in order to question the assumed physis view of the organizational hierarchy and to promote the research of alternative management models.
