Abstract: Work-life balance has become a widely studied topic in academic literature, particularly in the field of Management. Organizations have begun implementing strategies to reverse the negative effects generated by the conflict between these domains in employee performance. Specifically, the use of work-life policies has been greatly increased in organizations. Flexible schedules and work from home are some examples of these kinds of policies. However, to date relatively little has been done to advance the understanding of the process through which organizations implement these policies and become a family-friendly organization. Thus, the aim of this paper is to analyze the process of transformation, identifying key factors in the implementation of work-life policies. For this purpose, the process will be illustrated by a case of an organization that is going through this change.
