Abstract:
This article observes the impact of rice price floor on rice production in Java and outer islands. It is observed that in Java an increase in rice floor price has little effect on rice production. This is one to the fase that the increase in rice floor price has no effect on rice price at the former level. Thus the farmer has uo incentive to increase the area of rice cultivation. In the outer islands, on the other hand, rice price increase tend to have more effect on rice production, by increasing the area of rice cultivation. Other study also shows that rice price also affect rice farming productivity in the outerislands. 579
