Abstract:
The main rescource of each football club is its squad. In this context, clubs can apply two main recruiting mechanisms: Either they promote their own youth, or they recruit external (well-)trained players. Current globalisation processes in sports have fundamentally changed the general terms for 'make or buy' decisions. To be successful today, leading clubs need to recruit on a large scale from the global player market, and they have begun to establish scouting structures to do this effectively. However, football clubs also continue about recruiting are also more and more made in consideration of the audience's commitment to the club.(Original text only available in german language)
