Abstract:
An important implication is that school leaders should devote a major part of their work to capacity building in the school and will place a high priority on knowledge management to build the intellectual capital of the school. Also the school leaders should ensure that they and their colleagues are up-to-date with their knowledge of good practice in school improvement, and that the building of social and intellectual capital lies at the heart of the work of senior leaders in the school. Successful leaders are increasingly focused on learning, the central and unique focus of educational organizations. The school manager needs to be a great communicator.
