Abstract: The management of conflict involves the styles or strategies used to handle these conflictual situations and the intervention at every level (interpersonal, intragroup or intergroup). The organisation’s effectiveness can be enhanced if the manager decides to use a good strategy in solving or managing the conflict. A good manager knows when to intervene or whether there is need for intervention. The manager intervenes to reduce the conflict at all levels, he or she, in order to be more efficient, has to manage the conflict rather than solve the conflict.
