Abstract: Education should play a major role in every society, because human culture cannot exist without its two important institutions: family and school. The aim of my paper was to express the importance of family involvement in a child’s education and the role of family and school collaboration. Children get their good family upbringing during early childhood and later on school continues shaping this, according to their age and personality. School is extremely important, but without the family’s involvement it will not lead to the desired purposes. The family’s involvement in a partnership with the school depends on how interested the family is in a child’s education. The more of a value school is to the family, the more involved the family will be. Children who are supported by their families, who see their parents having a pro-school attitude, achieve high school results. The family’s attitude towards school is transferred to children and it is manifested in the child’s interest in school activities, homework, school results and appreciations.
