Abstract:
Starting from the idea that the Philosophy of Law, seen as a science, does not study only the definition of law, but also its characteristic attributes to be assimilated by drawing specific ideologies, a new science is taking shape, a branch of philosophy, as theoretical at first glance, as applicable. This paper is intended to be an evolutionary history of the Hungarian Philosophy of Law on concepts, traditions, conceptual influences analyzed in terms of double components: historical time vs. ideology. The study begins by presenting the first concepts (1517) in Tripatitum, the epochal work, through the influences of German/ Austrian philosophers, emphasizing the philosophical activities of Hungarian personalities, ending by presenting the changes occurred after 1947, when in the light of historical realities, great philosophers have been either removed or co-opted in the development of the new legal philosophical thinking according to the regime's ideology.
