Abstract: This study describes the structure of Traian Brăileanu's work, Introducere în sociologie (Introduction in Sociology), but also the ideas that the Romanian sociologist put forward in this work. He structured his paper into four parts: the notion of sociology, the object of sociology, sociology and the other sciences and the sociological method. In the second part of his study, he focused his interest on the relation between the human being and the society, between the structure and functioning of the system in the community. The sociologist from Bucovina seeks to understand the relation between element and system. He attempted to explain the relation between man and system, stating that man is involved in a multitude of relations in his world. In this context, the Romanian professor considers that social reality, which is the object of the sociology study, is born out of the contact between communities.
