Abstract:
The article aims to provide a description with respect to values among young Romanians, generally speaking, but also with respect to social relations and religion or spirituality. Survey data from two major researches - the European Values Study, and Social condition and expectations of youth in Romania, the Youth Barometer 2008 - were used, and comparisons were made between young people and adults, Romanian youth and European youth, as well as comparisons across several years within the ‘youth' category. The data sources used in this article are the latest surveys available the topics concerned. The topic of the article, namely the values of young people, is however quite stable in time and, as such, we believe that the data and facts noted continue to be relevant even four years after the data were collected.
