Abstract: This paper sets out to analyze the nature of EU enlargement and explores its impact on the sustainable entrepreneurship. It describes the evolution of EU enlargement and considers contemporary issues. The primary objectives of this paper are: – to provide an overview of key problems and business issues for sustainable en-trepreneurship – to show synergetic effects of the interaction among entrepreneurs and their European associates – to identify main challenges and opportunities – to provide directions for accelerating development of sustainable entrepreneurship The paper concludes that the EU enlargement has created a wide gap between best and average business practices, and draw the lesson for entrepreneurs to take advantage of the EU enlargement.
