Abstract:
This year, 1966, our country's socialist reconstruction entered upon its third Five-Year Plan. In the course of this new Five-Year Plan, our national economy will have forged ahead to a more advanced stage of development. It will have established for our country an independent and comparatively complete industrial economic system. It should achieve modernization of our agricultural production, industrial production, and defense system, and update all our scientific technology, as well as lay a sound and firm foundation. At the same time, we also expect that during this period the cultural and material standards of our peasants, workers, and others will be raised to a higher level.
