Abstract:
Analysis of the E-Learning survey at University of Milan. In this work we use several statistical techniques to studythe data from a survey on the faculty staff of the University of Milan on E-Learning practices. In particularly, the analysis wasfocused on the identification of typical profiles of lecturerswith propensity of using E-Learning practice and lecturers withadverse opinion. We also analyzed causes of success and failureof the penetration of E-Learning in the different Schools atthe University of Milan. Techniques of data reduction andadvanced statistical tools (like classification and regression trees, basket analysis, etc. ) have been applied and, althoughthe evidence from this study applies only to University of Milan, the proposed framework of analysis is of general applicability.
