Abstract:
This paper studies the two systems of production equations corresponding respectively to wages paid entirely or partially in kind in Sraffa’s self-replacing economies. Regarding the first system, the paper introduces the concept of Ï -shaped matrix, which is relevant to the subject and allows also for the addition of a complementary remark to the theory of semi-positive square matrices. In relation to the second system, it points out some differences between the cases studied here and those where the whole wage is paid in value.
