Abstract:
Among Western Europe , Switzerland is the eighth biggest country, providing about 4% of WE home furniture demand. Swiss per capita furniture consumption is the second highest value after Norway in WE. The Swiss furniture market is highly open to imports: Germany is by far Switzerland's leading trading partner, Italy is the second supplier. In Switzerland, furniture sales are mainly concentrated in the specialist channel. The distribution channels structure has changed significantly over the years. The report provides trends in home furniture consumption, analysis of the furniture distribution system by channel, retail formats and sales performances of top retailing companies operating in Switzerland.
