Abstract:
The Danish furniture market is increasingly open to imports: 60% of Denmark's furniture consumption is satisfied by imports (55% in 2008). Denmark is one of the countries, together with Germany, Sweden and Norway with a high import penetration from Central Eastern Europe (15% of the Swedish home furniture market) compared to the WE value of 11%). The furniture distribution system is dominated by the organised specialist distribution which has increased its share over the years. The report provides trends in home furniture consumption, analysis of the furniture distribution system by channel, retail formats and sales performances of top retailing companies operating in Denmark.
