Abstract:
Among Western Europe, Norway is the eleventh biggest country, providing about 3% of the WE home furniture demand. Norway is the first country in WE in terms of per capita furniture spending. The Norwegian furniture market is open to imports. In Norway the distribution structure has not changed significantly over the past years. Online shopping is increasing in Norway. The most important furniture chains in Norway are both local firms (like Skeidar Living Group, Fagmøbler and Møbelringen) and foreign ones (IKEA, Jysk). The report provides trends in home furniture consumption, analysis of the furniture distribution system by channel, retail formats and sales performances of top retailing companies operating in Norway.
