The bathroom furniture market and wellness in China

Abstract: This report offers an overview of the bathroom furnishings and wellness sector in China, providing data on production and consumption, international trade, supply structure, distribution and prices. The field of study includes the following products: bathroom furniture, bathroom accessories (towel rails, soap dishes, lavatory brushes, etc), shower enclosures (one, two, three-sided or complete cabins), multifunctional shower boxes and whirlpools. The report is based on around hundred interviews carried out mostly in Shanghai and Guangzhou and on documentation related to the sector in general. Bathroom furnishings and wellness sales by product (bathroom furniture, bathroom accessories, shower screens, multifunctional shower boxes, whirlpools) are provided for the major Chinese manufacturers. Market shares are also included. For each segment short profiles for selected companies are provided. Profiles of selected retailers in the large distribution in the sectors of furniture and furnishings and household goods are given as well as reference prices of bathroom furnishings and wellness by product type in a sample of companies. Data on household and government consumption expenditures, gross regional product by industry and number of hotels by cathegory are also provided by region.
