L'industria, 2009, issue 4, 583-592
Abstract:
This short paper introduces three studies regarding the economics of the Internet. The rapid diffusion on Internet usage and the adoption of new business models inspired scientific work in search of a new theoretical apparatus. However, the most promising results can be found in applied research. In particular, the features of the web and the dominance of few firms across different markets call for updating the regulatory and antitrust policies.
