Uses of VR, XVR… technologies in the world of heritage

Economia della Cultura, 2023, issue 3-4, 555-558
Abstract:
Over the last few years, digital technologies from other sectors (such as video games or special effects in the audiovisual and film industries) have become widely used. This use has now been integrated into other sectors, such as museums and exhibitions. It is part of a vast array of digital uses expected by audiences. It contributes to the renewal of the museum experience. Little by little, a specific, new industry is emerging, one that cuts across all cultural sectors. Above all, new economic models are emerging that combine the traditional audiovisual models and the rights that go with them with the equally traditional museum models.
