Abstract: Electronic, health-care and energy applications largely rely on miniaturized structures, the fabrication of which, although technically beneficial, is energy intensive and requires the use of hazardous chemicals. Now, research shows an effective bioinspired strategy to reduce such environmental impacts while retaining the benefits of microfabrication.
