Abstract: The paper aims to present John Maynard Keynes's business cycle theory. The goal is to examine his views, which are the basis of the modern economy. Better knowledge of the Keynes theory will contribute to a more adequate interpretation of the business cycle phenomenon, to better management and to improving the effectiveness of macroeconomic policies.
