Abstract: The labor market in Bulgaria for the period 2000-2007 has been analyzed. Some of the active programs and measures for labour encouragement in Bulgaria are examined, in the aspect of their efficiency. It is taken notice of the tendencies of the development of the labour market, both nationally and worldwide, under the conditions of world financial crisis and growing unemployment.
