Abstract:
The article examines the impact of the working from home experience on work environments during the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily from the perspective of the property sector. The goal is to understand the interrelationships between place of work and work success from the view of different actor groups and to derive implications for the employees and companies. Methodologically, a conceptual approach to the relationship between working from home and work success is made, which is then empirically verified by means of a survey of 1000 employees in Germany. As a result, the article draws a picture of the reality of working from home, the success from different perspectives and the connections to the personal, work-related and spatial framework conditions. Based on the empirical data, an evaluation of the work-from-home phenomenon is made from the perspective of employees and companies.
