Risikomanagement in sozialen Nonprofit-Organisationen

Abstract: Risk management for non-profit organizations (NPO) increasingly gains attention. A systematic safeguarding of (as far as possible) all forms of risks seems to be imperative, particularly in times of crisis. Simultaneously it is vital to identify opportunities. In general, numerous management tools and methods suited for businesses are recommended to NPO for years, though in part they do not take into consideration their specific characteristics. Therefore, based on guided interviews, this article illuminates the particularities of risk management in large social NPO and it discusses the repeatedly identified discrepancy between theoretical ambitions and practice.
