Possibility to use psychological tests by the personnel management offices in Administration

T. Zaytseva and Ekaterina Mishina

Public administration issues, 2009, issue 4, 30-41

Abstract: An employer has a wide range of ways to select an employee for the vacancy, who fits the organization best. One of the ways is a psychological testing, which consists of collecting information about the psychological peculiarities of the candidate. The article defines the main rules and conditions of testing and concludes that testing the personal psychological qualities of civil servants during the vacancy competitions held in the public management service with the subsequent employment into the staff reserve, is an acceptable measure but not a binding one.
