Estimating Key Professional Skills in Graduates of Basic Professional Training Programs: Approaches and Procedures

Abstract: The article presents the results of the World Bank Project Monitoring Key Skills in Graduates of Basic Professional Training Programs'. The purpose of the project was to develop and test techniques for estimating these skills. The article briefly describes the basic concepts used in this research, presents the principal approaches to developing the techniques and procedures of skills estimation. The authors present examples of the tests they developed and discuss the trial results of the proposed techniques.
