Mihaly Hogye

No 255, Apas Papers from Academic Public Administration Studies Archive - APAS

Abstract: In this paper the author intends to put together pieces of findings of two papers presented earlier. It is a kind of synthesis that focuses on questions of revenue mix of a nonprofit organization in case of co-management and co-production. Relying mainly on available literature of existing schools that explains economic rationale for nonprofit activities the paper reflects how comanagement and co-production may modify thesis rooted in nonprofit theories. How do the new forms of governmentnonprofit relations lead to more efficient output financed from earned income, government funds, donation and borrowings? How do the new forms of government affect the ‘optimal' revenue portfolio? Do the new forms have a „crowding-out" affect between different financial resources? Answers are to be approached via some examples in Hungary.
