Abstract: This research analyzes the approach in teaching English for Specific Purposes (Business English) at the University of National and World Economy. It comes to the following conclusions: the successful approach attracts students’ attention, makes them eager to participate in class, putting their passive knowledge of grammar and vocabulary to real use (turning it to active), and opens the channel for effective lecturer-student communication because the lecturer shows the students that he/she is interested in their personal opinions and experience.
