International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism

Abstract: The Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (“the convention”) adopted on 15 April 2005 by the United Nations General Assembly after seven years of preparatory work was opened for signature on 14 September at United Nations Headquarters in New York. In accordance with Article 25 of the convention, it will enter into force after it has been ratified by 22 states.
