Abstract:
Investing in education is always a wise choice, although the cost is still controversial. Higher education is perceived to serve as a turning point for individuals, and it is no exaggeration to say that choices of universities may be either a facilitator of successful careers or a major blockage towards potential fulfilment and a promising future. Therefore, university selection demands students’ careful consideration and thorough analysis in order for informed decisions to be made. Nowadays, however, it is a common phenomenon that high school students strive for an offer from universities on grounds of trends and others’ expectations rather than personal capabilities and research into educational statistics. From my perspective, it is advisable to pursue passions and choose an appropriate university as a springboard to realize lifelong dreams. This essay will present and analyze thoroughly opposing viewpoints, then provide justification for my stance, followed by a valid conclusion
