Salvino A. Salvaggio
No 85tp7, OSF Preprints from Center for Open Science
Abstract:
This brief note explores the impact of digital transformation on classical orchestras, highlighting its role as a catalyst for operational effectiveness, audience engagement and education enhancement, despite the challenges of sustaining digital performance viewership. The note highlights that while the initial embrace of digital performances may not maintain momentum, the lasting benefits of digital transformation in improving administrative processes, organisational efficiency, and community outreach are undeniable. It underscores the importance of a comprehensive approach that aligns strategic vision, resource management, and technological innovation within the orchestral domain to maximise the potential of digital transformation.
